Parkersburg, WV - A Parkersburg man already free on bond was arrested again early Sunday. Parkersburg Police Sgt. Greg Collins said about 1:00 a.m. Sunday, On 5-6-12 at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers received an intrusion alarm at Greenpak on Staunton Avenue.
Officers were able to locate Shawn W. Crites inside the fenced area of the property. Crites was seen carrying approximately 25 foot of copper wire. Wire cutters were also found when Cristes was searched and another 25 foot section of copper wire was located just outside the fenced area.
Collins said additional evidence allegedly linking Crites to the crime was collected from the scene. The estimated value of the stolen copper was reported at approximately $200.00.
Crites was charged with felony breaking and entering, and if convicted could face one (1) to 10 years in prison. While being arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court where a records check revealed he was already out on bond for an unspecified crime. His bond was revoked and he was remanded to the custody of the regional jail.
