Parkersburg, WV - A 34 year old Parkersburg man is being held on $2,200 bond following a domestic violence situation last night as well as being a fugitive from justice.
Timothy Michael Maston is in the North Central Regional Jail accused of punching one person and injuring another with a knife. He also has warrants from Florida and Washington County, Ohio.
According to the news release, Parkersburg police officers were called to the 700 block of Lulu Street last night around 10:45 p.m. in reference to a domestic violence situation.
Upon arrival, one female victim stated that Timothy Michael Maston hit her in the mouth with a closed fist. A male advised that Maston swung at him with a knife causing an injury to his chin. According to the two (2) victims and a witness, Maston also allegedly retrieved multiple knives from the kitchen stating that if the police were called he would kill them.
During the incident, Maston also reportedly caused damage to the apartment and armed himself with two (2) knives under his arms, and two (2) knives in his back pockets, making threats toward officers who had yet to arrive.
Maston was not at the scene during the initial call and interviews, but reportedly returned shortly after officers left the residence to complete the report.
Officers were dispatched back to the residence in short order, with the caller advising Maston had a knife in his possession.
Parkersburg police officers and a West Virginia State Trooper arrived back at the residence and began a search of the structure for Maston. Maston was located allegedly hiding between a wall and a bed. Maston was allegedly reluctant to follow instructions and screamed at officers to shoot him. OC spray was used on Maston with officers physically engaging him and successfully forcibly handcuffing him.
A computer check on Maston revealed he had three (3) outstanding warrants. He was wanted by the State of Florida for a parole violation, in Washington County, Ohio for failure to appear in court, and in Marietta, Ohio for domestic battery. Once contacted, all agencies reportedly refused to extradite him on the charges.
Maston was taken to police headquarters and processed without further incident. He was charged with two (2) counts of domestic battery, two (2) counts of domestic assault, and two (2) counts of obstructing.
Maston was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court this morning and held on a $2,200.00 bond. He is set to be transferred to the North Central Regional Jail.
